📋 Task Status & Workflow

Status Sections

Doing

Active tasks you're currently working on. New tasks default to this status.

Postponed

Tasks delayed to a future date. Requires a due date and reason for postponing.

Finished

Completed tasks. Can include a finished date for tracking completion.

Cancelled

Tasks that won't be completed. Requires a cancellation date and reason.

Status Rules

Doing → Postponed: Opens quick modal for due date and reason
Doing → Cancelled: Opens quick modal for cancellation date and reason
Any → Finished: Direct move with optional finished date
Within Same Status: Direct move between date groups

🎯 Drag & Drop System

Drop Zones

Date Groups: Drop on specific dates to assign/change due dates
Section Background: Drop between dates for section change without date
Cross-Section: Moving between statuses may trigger quick modals

Visual Feedback

Blue Highlight: Valid drop zone
Dashed Border: Date subsection hover
Drag Opacity: Item being dragged appears semi-transparent

Date Behavior

Drop on Date Group: Task inherits that date as due date
Drop on "No Date": Removes due date from task
Background Drop: Keeps existing due date

Label System

Color Coding: Each label has a unique color for visual organization
WCAG Compliance: Text contrast automatically maintained for accessibility
Compact Display: Labels appear horizontally in task items

Managing Labels

Create: Use "Manage Labels" button or ⌘⇧L / Ctrl+Shift+L
Edit: Click any existing label to modify name or color
Delete: Remove unused labels (warning for labels in use)
Color Presets: Quick color selection with predefined palette

Filtering

Label Filter: Dropdown in header to show only tasks with specific labels
"All Labels": Default view showing all tasks
Count Display: Shows filtered vs total task counts
